Auto Delivery Select

The Auto Delivery Select feature in Prodyflow allows you to automatically assign a delivery method for home delivery orders when the customer does not explicitly choose one. This is not a physical delivery method, but a virtual option that helps streamline order processing by grouping multiple available delivery methods. When an order is created, the system will automatically select one of the allowed delivery methods for you, reducing manual intervention and ensuring that every order is assigned a valid delivery option.

Setting Up Auto Delivery Select​

To configure Auto Delivery Select, go to Settings -> Sale Channels -> Countries -> Deliveries. Here, you can enable the "Allow auto select" option for the deliveries you want the system to choose from automatically. After that, add a new delivery method price for the "Auto Select" option to your list of delivery options and configure it like a regular delivery method, including its price. This allows the system to treat it as a standard option while a real delivery method still selecting automatically during order processing.

Courier Constraints​

Prodyflow also supports configuring courier-specific constraints to optimize automatic delivery selection. Under Settings -> Sale Channels -> Couriers, you can define the minimum and maximum number of daily packages for each courier. The Auto Delivery Select feature respects these limits, helping ensure that deliveries do not exceed the couriers’ capacity and that workload is balanced across available providers. Setting a minimum number of deliveries is particularly useful if your contract with the courier requires fulfilling a minimum quota.

Multi-Warehouse Orders​

If a sales channel uses multiple warehouses and the products in a customer’s basket come from different locations, only the delivery methods that are common across all involved warehouses will be considered. This ensures that Auto Delivery Select can create a single unified delivery option for the order even when individual warehouse delivery methods differ. As a result, order fulfillment remains consistent, efficient, and compliant with your shipping policies.
